Awesome Canaria's necklace in 18ct yellow gold and rodholite garnet. This baguette cut gemstone was bought directly from the miner of Sri Lanka earlier this year and have particular strawberry hue. As all my work this neckpiece is entirely handmade in my workshop including the clasp and is a one-off. It is easy to wear and will be cherished for years.
Part of the Canaria collection, it is made to celebrate gold and its beauty. Handmade with antic technique such as forging and laminating, its soft and curved shapes forged from 18 ct gold metal is then brushed to give a mat finish. It create a collection of jewellery that seems eroded by time. Inspiration is coming from land art and the thinking of how the time erode and shape the landscape, the harmonie of natural world.
Every single pieces handmade in my workshop is using traditional antic technique and celebrate beauty of precious metals and gemstones. Most of my casting is made out of old french Napoléon’s coin and reclaimed gold avoiding plating and resourcing gold from nature. Gemstones, diamonds and pearls are bought from suppliers who’s materials are exclusively sourced from responsible and conflict free mines.
